Chobe National Park & Savuti
The mysterious Chobe river which flows through south central Africa from Kwando river and around along the northern border of Botswana into the Savuti and Linyanti marshes and further merging with the Zambezi river creating a unique intricate river system that flows in reverse sometimes. This large body of water supports huge herds of elephants and buffalos. This extensive area which usually dries up often leading to a diverse landscape with an intriguing scenery of verdant grassy plains and desert like patches holding water for all kinds of game like zebras, giraffes and big cat predators like lions and cheetahs. Lurking behind the bushes are possible sightings of spotted hyenas, the crocuta crocuta which is the sole extant member of the genus Crocuta.
