Visas

Check visa advice but normally a Visa can be obtained at the airport when entering the country. For example, at the airport in Zambia ask for KAZA Multi Entrance Visa ($50 US dollars). Make sure that you have at least 6 months remaining and spare pages in your passport.

What might come in handy?

  1. Insect repellent, sun block factor 30, bath soap, water bottle, tissues / toilet roll, torch/head torch, hat with ties, shirt with long sleeves and long pants, khakhis and light clothing, scarf, comfortable walking shoes, binoculars, digital camera and sunglasses.
  2. Please bring your personal medication or prescriptions, a small medical kit and anti-malaria tablets. Carry small denominations of cash for easy exchange, we do take USD$ but getting change might be a problem.

Travel Insurance: We strongly advise you to purchase full and comprehensive travel insurance to cover any eventuality before traveling, including: Safari cancellation, injury, accident, illness, death, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and loss of money or personal belongings. This is compulsory on all trips, please arrange with your personal broker or agent before departure.

VISA AND PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS: Most commonwealth countries like UK (Ireland, Scotland and England) and USA citizens do not need visas as long as their passports are valid this goes for EU member countries as well.
Upon arrival at the airport the passport will be stamped with a 30 day Visa. For sightseeing’s with countries bordering Botswana special visas will be acquired at the borders.

What is Botswana’s climate?
Overall, the country is arid to semi-arid with highly erratic rainfall. Botswana’s climate is determined by its inland location, astride the subtropical high-pressure belt.
SUMMER: SEPTEMBER – APRIL which is also the season Botswana receives most of the rainfall.
WINTER: MAY-AUGUST being our dry and cold season.

CLOTHING: Below is what you need pack for your safari
 Neutral colors (khakhi, brown, beige and military green)
 Sun protecting long sleeved shirts which also help from mosquito bites
 Safari trousers, shorts and swimwear
 During winter season please pack extra jackets and sweaters.
 A raincoat during rainy season
 Comfortable walking shoes preferably shoes matching with your khakhis
 Insect repellent, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, torch
 Your Binoculars, camera and extra batteries

PUNCTUALITY: We have set times for our general activities, any interruptions and cancellations should be communicated well in time prior activities. We expect all guests to be punctual, any late comings and forfeiture of activities will not be reimbursed.
CREDIT CARD COMPANIES: Mastercard and VISA cards are widely accepted in Botswana, please contact your credit company for further information.
IDENTITY IN THE BAGS: Kindly be advised to tag your luggage either by sticker, waterproof marker or by having a copy of identity in your luggage for easy identification.
VALUABLES IN HANDBAGS/CARRYONS: Ensure that all valuables are always in a safe place either your carryon or handbag.
